The giant park in our subdivision has a lovely (relatively small) flower bed that is maintained by members of the neighborhood.  They got a load of woodchips, so I went to help.

The boy was supposed to be playing at the playground with friends but decided it went against space worker man policy to stand by.

Also, finally got a ripe watermelon.

 In case it’s hard to hear, he’s calling a flip a Sonic the Hedgehog, as in the video game/cartoon/movie character that continually flips while speeding around.

 We go to this indoor attraction every couple of weeks, as it’s cheaper to by a yearly pass.  I managed to convince my friend to come with and they had a blast.  But don’t take pictures I guess.

These videos loaded soooo much faster than at home and it makes me want to only download videos from this place.  It explains why so many parents are chilling on their computers while kids are running like mad.

Our first t-ball game.  The boy seems so grown up sometimes, and alternately so behind in many ways, that it’s fun to see him kids his age and ability level all in it together.  Piles of kids trying to catch the same ball.  Running past a base, or trying the catch a ball hit by your own teammate.

 Look at this precious boy.  Thinking and crying for those families that aren’t going to t-ball practice because their child was killed by some monster with another AR-15.  And the pro-gun groups that think a murderers right to own a gun is more important than my son’s right to have a childhood.

Floridian mother’s day

 I mean, the governor is bonkers, so I wouldn’t want to live there, but it is pretty in Florida.  For our first real vacation as a family, we went to the Florida keys for a week and came back tan, relaxed and full of key lime pie.

Mountain zoo

 It was spring break, and we went to the zoo about an hour from our house.  It was much closer experience than the closer zoo.

The hippos just had a baby.  He was hanging out with mom in the pool and would occasionally pop up for a quick breath.  It was a rare treat, but I failed to catch it on video.

Dinosaurs attack!!!

 We went to a Jurassic World exhibit with enormous life sized dinosaur robots.  It was intense.  The tour guides were also part actors, stressing how camera flashes could excite the dinosaurs, and don’t get too close to the gates.  As long as the red lights on the fence were lit, we were safe.  And guess what?  The red lights turned off!!  Oh no!!!
