Start of the thaw

It's been a few weeks since we've been able to go to the park.  Because of the unseasonal cold, we haven't been able to play outside for long stretches.  But yesterday after a couple days stuck indoors with a fever, he was eager to get some air.

One of the games we played to spend the time indoors was hide and seek.  Can you find him in this picture?

Spring is starting

+

It only took like three weeks, but they've finally come up: basil, cilantro, and two types of peppers.  The peppers took the longest, really, but the ones I was looking most forward to.  I've not been super successful in the garden the last three summers, but after all the organic matter dug into the clay soil, and planning and all the projects that husband has done over that time, I'm hopeful for this year.  And next year should be even better.

Not exactly a transformer

The boy loves his transformers toys and cartoons.  So much so that he has been making the sound effects when he plays with boxes.  I decided he needed a cooler outfit.

It was such a hit, I made one for hubby, too.

who needs a radio

Years ago, my sister got me a ukelale from Hawaii.  I dug it out the other day while looking for objects that start with the letter U.  The boy thought it was naturally his, and started carrying it around.  While I took a shower, I heard the door open (as usual), and little footsteps, then strains of music. Yes, I took my cell phone into the shower.

A hidden talent

He and I were playing around in the front room, you know, throwing bean bags around, when he got super excited and just started doing this.

Plus a new item to play with.
