House painting

When we moved in a couple years ago, our house was painted in the usual pallet of the suburbs.  Beige on beige.  It was in decent condition when we moved in, but the weather took it's toll in the passing summers and winters.  Plus, some of the wood outside was starting to rot.

Well, I can paint a house well enough, but fixing rotted wood is another story.  Rather than spend most of the summer inexpertly replacing wood, scrapping, sanding, power washing and the rest, we scrapped up the cash to get it done professionally.

Before - front

Before - rotted siding

 Before - back

During - picking paint colors.  Three shades of gray, three of yellow, two of blue, and one white.

After - front

Looking up to the porch eaves.

The front door, in the brighter blue.
