Easter 2017

We went to 2 egg hunts for Easter, one at our church, and one at the local baptist church.  These pics are from our ward hunt.  Baby and I got there 15 minutes after it started and about 10 minutes after it was kind of over.  All the eggs had been picked, and I'd forgotten a basket anyway.  A couple kind boys lent baby a basket, and tried to get him to pick up an egg from the ground.

He had no clue what was going on.  He just liked playing with the big kids, and, of course, the basket.  

We went to the local Baptist church right after with some friends.  I dropped by our house to pick up a little toy bucket that's meant to carry little plastic shapes.  It didn't help.  Baby still had no idea he was supposed to pick up eggs and put them in the bucket.  He was more interested this time in stealing another baby's bottle.

Spring storm

Yard work

We have this random spray of lava rock and red paving stones right in the middle of the yard.  It's a pretty effect, but a pain when for mowing or for running maniacally back and forth.  Since we do occasionally mow, and baby loves to run maniacally back and forth, we decided to get rid of it all.

Baby is surprisingly strong for a 22 pound weakling.  

A future as a plumber

Our sprinkler system has been leaking for a while.  Andrew has tried to fix it, but he needed a little help.

"Yeah, I see your problem"

"There's a ton of water in here."

"Let me try blowing the line out."

"Can I get a hand here?  And bring a thing-a-ma-bobby."

"Yeah, right there. Turn it. No, turn it the other way.  No, the other way." 

"Here, let me do it.  Aaaand there we go.  Done."

"Good as new."

Hamburger in Paradise

I'm still trying to figure out how to down load pictures and videos from my phone onto this blog.
Fortunately, Andrew still has his  more modern phone, thankfully.

We went up to Greeley this past weekend to spend time with Andrew's aunt.  We had lunch at a local burger place.  I was starting to take a bite of my own lunch, when it was high-jacked by our little terrorist.

Radio silence... and a well baby visit

I lost my phone about two weeks ago.   Super annoying.  So i took my old phone in to get it set up as my current phone.  Should be fine, right?  It's an iPhone 5 or 6 or something, so a smart phone and should work the same, right?  Not so much.  Having a hard time uploading pictures and videos, which is super annoying.

Anyway, I took baby in for his 18 month well baby visit.  He did well, closing the gap .  He's now 8% for height at 31.25 inches and 20% for weight at 22lb 6oz.  That's double digits.  We haven't seen double digits before (except for this head circumference), so it's good news.  I was worried, especially about the weight, because baby had a cold and 3 teeth coming at the same time, and so did not want to eat for more than a week.  He does not have weight to lose.

Not quite a pudge, but not quite so skinny anymore.
